The British International School, Phuket is a leading international day and boarding school (2 - 18 years) offering a quality education to the international community of the Asia/Pacific region.

We are seeking an inspiring, enthusiastic and passionate Early Years Teacher to join a well established and successful team in either Early Years or KS1.

As an exceptional Early Years Teacher, you will love working with children and be keen to join a forward-thinking, collaborative and dynamic team of professionals, delivering a world-class, holistic education for the children at BISP. 

In line with the school's mission, values and vision, the purpose of an Early Years Teacher at BISP is to provide a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for our young children.

You will be responsible for implementing the EYFS framework and Development Matters Curriculum, promoting child-initiated learning and play-based activities. Through your teaching, you will aim to foster holistic development, including cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth. In your role you will support each child's individual needs, interests, and abilities and inspire a love of learning in young children while building positive relationships with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues.

You will have:

# A genuine enthusiasm for, and commitment to, supporting the development of the whole child.

# A bachelor’s degree in education or other subject with qualified teacher status or equivalent.

# Proven experience in implementing child-initiated learning approaches and play based learning within an early years setting.

# Extensive knowledge of the EYFS framework and Development Matters Curriculum (UK).

# An understanding of synthetic phonics and early reading.

# A passion for teaching which is shown through your day-to-day interaction with children.

# A highly adaptable nature with the ability to plan and differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all children.

# Outstanding written and aural communication skills.

# Exceptional interpersonal, organisational and presentation skills.

# A commitment to ongoing professional learning and development.

# A willingness to actively engage in our wider school community.

Early Years & Primary Teachers are expected to facilitate high quality learning in line with our definition - 'High quality teaching and learning at BISP is facilitated by secure subject understanding, effective planning, differentiated practices, response to feedback and student agency.
