0.6 Engineering Technician

Up to £21,654 per annum pro rata

Hours: 22.2 hours per week – work pattern to be confirmed

The Role

Working across both the Higher and Further Education Engineering departments to support the effective delivery of the engineering curriculum. You will be expected to provide day to day co-ordination of workshop / assessment areas whilst working with the team of staff to ensure effective support is provided to both staff and students. You will also be responsible for monitoring and maintaining equipment within the engineering department, coordinating resource usage efficiently to deliver the curriculum.

What we are looking for

You should possess a minimum of a level 2 qualification in English and Maths and have the original certification to evidence this. You will also need to have experience of operating a range of relevant equipment, instructing and developing practical forms of delivery in an Engineering context along with experience of undertaking risk assessments and managing risk in a technical environment. UK Honours degree or ENIC recognised degree in a related discipline and the ability to set and programme CNC Machining are desirable.
