Bedford (Hybrid)

£59,796 per annum including car allowance

Permanent

Full time (37 hours per week)

We are looking for an Operations Manager (Buildings) to provide leadership and management to the Independent Living Team’s Building Services team. The main purpose of this role is to ensure that the Independent Living Schemes are maintained to a high standard, focussing on maintenance, compliance and cleaning services.

The successful applicant will lead the Independent Living Building Operations team, alongside the Head of Independent Living Operations Manager, in delivering high levels of customer service whilst achieving key business targets, including but not limited to, all compliance checks.

Your main responsibilities will be:

Line management responsibility for the Independent Living Maintenance Officer, Compliance Officer and cleaners Oversee all building related services within the Independent Living, including maintenance, compliance, grounds, gardens and cleaning. Work closely with colleagues in responsive repairs, planned works and compliance to ensure that work is carried out to required time frames / standards. Be responsible for all health and safety compliance in Independant Living. Oversee communications with customers regarding any activities within their buildings Act as the escalation point for repair issues, health and safety or compliance complaint  

We are looking for someone who:

Demonstrates excellent communication skills, effectively conveying maintenance requirements and compliance standards to diverse audiences. Exhibits a strong understanding of maintenance and compliance management, who will consistently implement best practices to uphold standards and regulatory requirements. Displays expertise in facilities management, effectively overseeing operations to improve building functionality, safety and customer satisfaction. Knowledge of cleaning protocols and standards, including those specified to environments occupied by older adults or individuals with specific needs. Facilities Management experience or qualification IWFM Facility Management Professional or CFM Proven experience in a leadership role within a facility, property services or maintenance department.
