Job description
My client, a leading retailer, is looking for Director of B2C who will be fully responsible and accountable for the P&L and growth of both top line revenue and overall margin; as well as developing the strategic plan for the business and execute effectively, always looking to exceed budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail and ecommerce and have a proven track record of driving omni channel growth in a similar role.
Director of B2C - Responsibilities
- Develop and lead execution of the B2C omnichannel strategy for UK & Ireland.
- Devise and implement the retail product/brand strategy.
- Define and implement the customer retail journeys across all platforms.
- Provide strong leadership, management, and support to the Retail team.
- Lead weekly Trading meetings, Monthly Forecast and Commercial reviews, seasonal buy and markdown planning.
- Continually assess the retail environment/climate and competitor activity to anticipate and provide proactive solutions.
- Share ideas and best practice with colleagues to ensure that the Retail channel is continually developing, and standards and customer expectations are continually exceeded.
- Lead and design retail initiatives, leveraging and demanding support from head office stakeholders.
- Improve and execute strategies with digital marketing, merchandising, operations and digital enhance the customer experience.
- Ensure that the customer experience is being constantly delivered across UK & Ireland.
- Partner with the heads of buying and the wider senior management team to ensure delivery of the annual budget and strategic objectives.
- Lead and inspire the retail a function to deliver outstanding execution and insights to the business.
Director of B2C - Requirements: - An in-depth background of Retail & Ecommerce.
- Strong strategic planning skills.
- Exceptional understanding of end-to-end ecommerce strategy from UX to omni-channel integration.
- Able to keep up and be aware of emerging trends and technologies.
