Job description
This role will be a key part of the Phoenix Transformation programme, a unique one-time transformation opportunity designed to enable Nomad Foods to deliver, and possibly exceed, its financial goals through the strategy of ‘Simplify, Standardise, Automate & Transform’.
Phoenix is a portfolio of change projects and programmes, coming together as a business-led, technology enabled transformation to be delivered over a 3-year period (2022-2025).
The portfolio is coordinated via the Air Traffic Control Tower (ATC), connecting the dots across a set of Functional and Cross-Functional Workstreams.
A key project within the portfolio is the shift from SAP ECC to S4 Hana. This role’s primary focus will be to design, coordinate and deliver the Cutover process from SAP ECC to S4 Hana.
The role will sit under the central Air Traffic Control Tower (ATC) Workstream, but will be heavily business focused so will naturally need to have strong connections with the Functional Workstreams (Finance and Supply Chain), as well as the Cross-Functional Workstreams (Technology, Data & Analytics and OCM).
This role is responsible for successfully delivering the Cutover process across all elements of the Phoenix programme, including Sales CRM, RGM, Ariba, as well as taking Nomad from the current SAP ECC environment to the new S4 Hana environment managing this as a whole for both functions, businesses and Technology.
The role will be accountable to the Phoenix Programme Director, but will have strong connections with the Phoenix Steer Co (CIO, CFO, CSO, Chief People Officer).
Activities will include (not exhaustive):
- Defining the overarching strategy, approach and principles supporting the Cutover, working in collaboration with Business leaders, General Managers, Nomad Central PMO, the Global Process Owners (GPOs) and Cross-Functional Workstream Leads (Technology, Data & Analytics, OCM, Controls).
- Aligning that approach with all sponsors and key stakeholders within the business and communicating the impacts and mitigation on a function/site/user basis.
- Working collaboratively with the Programme Director, and all Workstream Programme and Change Managers to build out an appropriately detailed plan supporting the Cutover, ensuring all are engaged as part of that planning process and have the relevant milestones built into their respective Tier 2-3 plans.
- Ownership of the overall Cutover plan ensuring leadership is in place in all functions/Businesses to successfully deploy each project/wave.
- As part of that planning process, consideration should be given to business continuity and ‘back-out’ plans in line with Risks already identified.
- Working collaboratively with the Phoenix Programme Director and central team to define, align and coordinate resource requirements supporting the Cutover process (considering both the Phoenix Central team as well as business resources required).
- Working closely with the Technology Workstream to determine technology specific requirements in line with the Acceptance Into Service (AIS) process.
- Working with the Phoenix Programme Director to define, mobilise and establish an appropriate governance framework supporting the Cutover process, (feeding to and from the existing Phoenix governance framework, ensuring efficiency as well as the right level of connectivity across the programme).
- Working with the Business leadership and General Managers to ensure clarity on their role in the change/cutover and their sponsorship within Market/function.
- Working with GPOs and Programme Managers to identify, articulate, and define Risks along with appropriate mitigation plans relating to Cutover (leveraging Risks and Issues already captured by the existing Phoenix team).
- Collaboration with the OCM Workstream team and Regional Transformation Leads to determine the right Change, Comms & Training strategy and plan, ensuring all are clear on what is happening, when, their role in the process etc.
- Leading the overall Cutover process, working collaboratively with all involved and impacted stakeholders, ensuring smooth, safe transition from SAP ECC to the new S4 Hana environment.
