Job description
Are you an adept multitasker with a knack for meticulous financial management? We’re seeking a dynamic individual to spearhead our Credit Control department. Requirements:
- Monitor and manage the credit control processes, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Sending weekly statements
- Updating credit monitor spreadsheets, highlighting any customer who is close or over their credit limit.
- Weekly meeting with finance manager to discuss all customers on the sales ledger, any current issues and highlighting any potential concerns.
- Discussions with finance manager regarding placing customers on stop.
- Monitor customer accounts to ensure timely payments and address any payment delays or discrepancies promptly.
- Engage with customers to establish payment and resolve invoicing inquiries or disputes.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, providing excellent customer service and addressing their queries or concerns related to credit matters.
- Requesting PODs where needed and sending to customer.
- Liaising and building relationships with in-house sales teams regarding short/non-payments.
- Reporting any bad debit to Managing Director for sign off.
- Raising credit notes on Sage 200 to correct sales ledger once bad debt has been approved by management.
- Processing new customer forms on sage and updating current customers when details change.
- Allocating payments to invoices on sage when required.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in credit control or a related financial role, with a keen eye for detail and exceptional organizational skills.
- Proficiency in financial software such as Sage 200 and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with a customer-centric approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks effectively while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- A proactive mindset, with the ability to anticipate and address potential issues before they escalate.
