Some Roles and Responsibilities as a Care Co-Ordinator
- Make sure that Care Assistants are appropriately and efficiently allocated to customers so that care is delivered on time, safely and in line with customers wishes as agreed in their care plan.
- Distribute Staff rotas weekly and making sure that there is sufficient staff cover to deliver care and support on time. Having at least two weeks rota planned in advance with schedules in cohesion with customer care plans.
- Accept, allocate and process new customer referrals for care and support promptly whilst liaising with the various stake holders.
- Reports to the Care Manager
- Works with the management team with taking On Call responsibilities.
- Some key qualities required are ability to work on own initiative and under pressure ,great team player, great communication skills, caring, compassionate and understanding and willing to learn and develop.
Your Experience and Suitability for the Care Co-ordinator Role
We want to ensure our customer receives the very best care and to do that we need people who are naturally compassionate, caring and patient. We want a team who genuinely cares for each of our customers and our staff as if it was their own family.
You must have:
- Previous appropriate experience in Social Care or of leading or managing staff
- Qualification in Social care and/ or management ie Level 2 as minimum and working towards level 3 or upward.
- Full and valid UK driving licence and access to a car
- Right to work in the UK
- Excellent level of English
- Good administrative and IT skills and attention to detail
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Sound knowledge of the local area
- Willingness to work flexibly and keen to develop own knowledge and progression.
- Excellent time keeper and reliable.
