Exciting Opportunity: Java Developer FTC - Hedge Fund Technology Team
Are you a seasoned Java Developer with strong Kafka experience looking for a challenging role in a dynamic environment? Our client, a leading hedge fund with a global presence, is currently seeking a talented individual to join their core development team. Our client has evolved into one of the largest global alternative asset managers, and they are at the forefront of innovation in electronic trade capture and alternative asset management.
As a Java Developer on the core development team, you will play a pivotal role in the ongoing project to transition their trade operations to a cutting-edge platform. The team, consisting of developers, is actively scaling out and completely focusing on the delivery of this project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development of the new Trade Capture and PnL platform, primarily written in Java17.
- Work with technologies such as Spring Boot 3, MSSQL, Vertica, Kafka, and Kubernetes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Engage in design discussions, sharing knowledge and contributing to the overall project plan.
Requirements:
- Very strong Java skills.
- Strong experience in Kafka
- Proficient in working with MSSQL and Vertica databases.
- Familiarity with Microservice/Container architecture on either on-prem or cloud-based platforms.
- Prior experience in the financial services sector, with cross-asset knowledge and an understanding of structuring and trade lifecycle.
