SEN Student Specialist Lunchtime Support

Employment Type: Part-time (5 days a week), 2 hours per day

Work Hours: 11:30 am - 1:30 pm

Salary: £13.50 per hour

As an SEN Student Specialist Lunchtime Support, you will be working with children with SEN/SEMH needs alongside assisting in the classroom throughout the day. We are a forward-thinking educational institution committed to nurturing individual growth and cultivating a vibrant learning environment.

Role Overview: In this unique role, you will play a crucial part in enhancing the student experience during lunchtime, particularly focusing on students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) requirements. Additionally, you will provide support in the classroom environment throughout the day.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead engaging lunchtime activities tailored for students with SEND/SEMH needs, including ASD, ADHD, SpLD.
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students, contributing to a welcoming and supportive atmosphere.
- Monitor behavior and work towards improving academic grades.
- Assist class teachers with delivering material in subjects such as Maths, English, and more.

Requirements:
- Passion for student development and well-being, particularly in the context of SEN/SEMH.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to devise and execute engaging activities suitable for diverse learning needs.
- Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic and evolving role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
