Register Vacancy ID: 9526 Location: Space Park - Leicester Department: Physics and Astronomy Vacancy terms: Part time (22.5 hours, 0.6FTE), Fixed term for 12 months Salary details: Grade 6, £31,396 to £36,024 per annum (pro rata) Hours per week: 22.5 Advert closes midnight on: 21 Mar 2024 About the role The National Centre for Earth Observation (NCEO) is seeking an experienced Events Coordinator to join their team at Space Park Leicester. As the successful applicant, you will be responsible for coordinating the organisation and delivery of conferences and events under the direction of the NCEO Support Management team. With a range of events, from large scientific community conferences to specific project events and NCEO internal events, you will have the opportunity to work with a distributed research centre of over 100 scientists from universities and research organisations across the UK. The role will be based at NCEO Headquarters at Space Park Leicester with most of the events being based within the UK, but there may be instances where liaising with international partners and locations is necessary . The successful candidate will be required to travel and work outside of normal working hours on occasion. About you We are looking for someone with demonstrable experience of large scale event organisation of a similar nature, ideally with a degree in events management or with relevant professional experience. You should be confident using project management tools and utilising digital resources, including Microsoft suite, to organise hybrid events.
