Key Responsibilities:
Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and formulate evidence-based diagnoses for individuals within forensic settings.
Treatment Planning: Develop and implement effective therapeutic interventions tailored to the unique needs of forensic service users, ensuring a multidisciplinary approach.
Risk Assessment: Undertake robust risk assessments, providing expert analysis and recommendations to support risk management strategies for service users.
Report Writing: Produce clear and concise psychological reports, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with professional and legal standards.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, and other allied health professionals, to ensure holistic and cohesive care for service users.
Supervision and Training: Provide clinical supervision to junior staff and contribute to the training and development of colleagues within the forensic psychology team.
Research and Evaluation: Engage in ongoing research and contribute to the evaluation of forensic mental health services, implementing improvements based on findings.
Professional Development: Stay abreast of developments in forensic psychology, attending relevant training and conferences to enhance professional knowledge and skills.
