Job description

We are looking for a dynamic, talented teacher of History to join our Humanities team. You will have a passion for teaching and learning, together with the skills to inspire and motivate our students. The team of subject specialists are committed to ensuring that Humanities continues its journey in becoming an outstanding department. The Humanities faculty has an ethos based on collaboration and support with staff sharing strategies and resources to help everyone deliver good and outstanding lessons. We are proud of our work to improve outcomes for students in the Humanities subjects.

Oasis Academy Enfield is an inclusive 11 to 18 academy that is committed to giving children the best possible education. We are located in a new building with state-of-the-art facilities and situated 12 mins from Enfield Lock train station.

GCSEs have improved in recent years with more students achieving the basics (English and mathematics) at both level 4 and 5. At A level and BTEC Level 3, our students continue to make good progress. Our students progress to universities including Russell Group and other leading universities following a wide range of courses from English, History to engineering, psychology and law, apprenticeships and work.

We offer a rich and broad curriculum that is tailored to the needs of our students, providing challenge and exciting enrichment opportunities. The percentage of students achieving the top grades at both GCSE and A Level has risen over the years. Our students progress to universities including Russell Group and other leading universities following a wide range of courses from English, History to engineering, psychology and law, apprenticeships and work.

We are committed to providing staff with high quality professional development. We have a number of bespoke CPD sessions for teachers who are new to the profession, or more experienced. These sessions are led by excellent practitioners who are aspiring middle and senior leaders. Teachers also benefit from excellent Trust support and training from National Lead Practitioners across most subject areas. 

This is an excellent opportunity for an NQT or experienced teacher looking to make a difference to the lives of young people.
