Job description
As part of their current high-growth phase, a leading Aerospace Manufacturer are looking for a Quality Engineer to join the team tosupport all aspects of project-related Quality.
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting the development and implementation of business processes and systems in compliance with AS9100 and regulatory requirements
- Acting as the Quality focal on development projects
- Driving APQP activities
- Drive for FAIR and PPAP completion
- Acting as a business management system auditor
- Taking part in customer/supplier visits and audits as required
- Working with process owners to drive closure of non-conformances
- Leading internal and external investigations to identify root cause and corrective actions
- Involvement in change management and design for assembly/manufacture
- Supporting the development and deployment of quality objectives.
Skills and experience required:
- Previous proven experience in a similar role, ideally within the aerospace industry
- Familiar with CAA regulations Part21G and Part21J
- Knowledge of AS9100 and Process Auditing, AS9100 Lead audit
- Experience with Quality Improvement Programmes, Pareto, PFMEA, 5s, 6 Sigma or similar continuous improvement tools
- Experience with internal and external audits
- Experienced in the use of APQP tools and techniques, familiarity with AS9145 preferred
- Experienced in the use of statistical analysis, process capability and problem resolution tools (8D, 5 Why, 6 Sigma etc.) and techniques
- A team player with the ability to work under own initiative

- Ability to work at pace in a multi-project environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Full UK driver’s license.
