As a PMO Manager at John Crane, you will play a crucial role in aligning project management practices with our PMO standards and structure. You will oversee the health and performance of all Portfolio/Program and Project Relationships within assigned Divisional Portfolios. Working closely with key stakeholders, including the Master Black Belt and Full Time Black Belts, you will contribute to the successful delivery of various projects.

You will be a self-motivated, decisive, and adaptable to change, with a track record of setting and achieving ambitious yet realistic goals while displaying enthusiasm and tenacity.

Moreover, you will have a proven results-oriented mindset is essential, as well as the ability to inspire a vision and drive toward desired outcomes. Your experience in influencing and gaining buy-in from stakeholders and peers will be highly valued, as is will be your capability to navigate and excel in ambiguous environments.

A creative problem-solving and strong teamwork skills are crucial, along with effective collaboration and influencing abilities in a cross-functional setting. Additionally, you should possess a solid understanding of multiple business functions and technical capabilities, and the capacity to advocate for and lead change efforts is a key asset.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure alignment with PMO standards and structure through regular audits and oversight.
• Collaborate with the Master Black Belt and Finance Business Partner to track project budgets.
• Manage Portfolio Management responsibilities, including staffing, governance, and reporting.
• Onboard new Internal and External Project Managers in line with PMO practices.
• Maintain the accuracy and integrity of project statuses and artifacts.
• Provide governance and control over projects, removing barriers and issues.
• Ensure adherence to master plans, schedules, and approved budgets.
• Manage and address performance gaps of Project Management staff.
• Establish and maintain strong Governance, Leadership Oversight, and Stakeholder Management.

The Individual

• Bachelor's degree or extensive work experience in Business, Technology, or Operations Management.
• PMP certification preferred or equal work experience in project management.
• A grounded experience of project/program management experience in a large organisation.
• Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior management.
• Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt / Black Belt) certification or work experience preferred.
• Proven track record of successful project/program implementation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Excellent multi-cultural communication and interpersonal skills.
