Position: HR Business Partner
Location: Anywhere within the Cumberland location i,e Whitehaven, Workington, Carlisle
Salary: £45,000 annual
We are currently recruiting for Cumberland Council, a dynamic and diverse local government organisation committed to serving its community, is seeking a passionate and experienced HR Business Partner to join our team. As an HR Business Partner, you will play a pivotal role in driving HR initiatives, fostering a positive workplace culture, and supporting the Council's strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across departments to understand business objectives and provide expert HR guidance and support.
- Partner with managers to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the Council's goals, ensuring effective workforce planning and talent management.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives, contributing to a positive work environment and fostering a culture of inclusively, diversity, and continuous improvement.
- Advise and support on a range of HR matters, including performance management, employee relations, workforce development, and organisational change.
- Lead and support HR projects, ensuring timely and successful implementation while adhering to relevant policies and regulations.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of HR policies, procedures, and practices in line with best practices and legislative requirements.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or in a similar strategic HR role.
- Strong understanding of HR principles, employment legislation, and contemporary HR practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to influence, coach, and collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Sound judgement, problem-solving skills, and the ability to navigate complex and sensitive HR issues.
