Then look no further as my well-respected and award-winning client is looking out for an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Environmental and Drainage Consultant, with an engineering / scientific educational background.
The successful candidate will get the chance to work on a diverse range of drainage and environmental projects within the transportation, energy, solar, renewable energy, residential and leisure sectors, with a current large surge of exciting new projects within the solar and energy sector.
They will also be responsible for civils site inspections, preparation of detailed technical reports, attendance at necessary site visits and surveying investigations and much more.
Successful candidate specifications: - Relevant engineering / scientific degree and desire to gain accreditation with a professional body through experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (i.e. report writing).
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to listen, follow instruction, review technical work and process. Keen to learn, retain and apply technical information, review own work, and be confident to ask for support when needed.
- Ability to review and familiarise yourself with flood risk/drainage policy and guidance documents.
- Good IT Skills and ability to learn new software.

This role is based in the North West where the flexibility to work from home would be subject to completion of a probation period and at line managers discretion.
Job Responsibilities: - Support the production of technical reports.
- Undertake site walkovers and survey works.
- Prepare consultations with the water regulators.
- Liaise with client stakeholders / attend meetings under supervision of senior staff.
- Manage time and budgets under guidance from line manager.
