Job description

Capacity Building and Fundraising are essential for our service.  You will build the capacity of MyHealthnet in all service areas and constantly engage in fundraising, operations, training and project development programmes.

What will you be doing?

This holder of this role will help MyHealthnet (MHN) grow its financial resources and unlimited income (Priority).

Assist with the raising of other resources (e.g., restricted funds for programmes, sponsorship).  

Capacity Building and Funding raising role

The Capacity Building teams’ role is to build the capacity of MHN charity in all target areas. The Funding Applications must be well written, presented and timely submitted for approval before submission.  To work face-to-face primarily with funders, sponsors, and donors.  Sending funding newsletters to a large cross-section of the third sector.  

Act as Funding Application Officer and offer funding advice and support to executives and staff, and submits applications to various funding bodies.

The capacity-building team will consist of five staff with a lead (2 Fundraisers’ Advisers, Community, Development and capacity-building Officer, a property officer, trustee support officer who supports the local network and provides training.

Young people accessing our service expect a professional standard of service, anonymity and kindness, and non-judgemental and friendly service which is made possible through resourceful and informed service.  Some of our young service users are students, employed, unemployed or in training.  People have their own stories, from regular or abusive homes to vulnerable backgrounds, with or without access or recourse to public funds; including those who are homeless, living in kids-homes, rough sleepers, have an addiction and mental health issues, unregistered migrants, trafficked, domestic servitude, sex workers, teen mums with health issues. Those unable and in relationships, poorly educated, with no access to local services. We bridge gaps in service.

Hence, fundraising is an integral part of our work.  We will depend on your expertise in securing all forms of funding. Your commitment, dedication and successful fundraising will help cover the capital cost to develop tailored service.
