Chef Job description
Staff one require an experienced Care Home Chef, to work in a care home in the south Sheffield area.
You will be an experienced chef with a food hygiene certificate.
Hours are 730am to 630pm, pay rate is £11.68 per hour PAYE
You will be working alongside a kitchen assistant who will be washing pots, cutlery etc
Meals are made fresh and your duties include raw food and ingredient preparation, cooking meals to order for 22 residents, 3 services per day ( breakfast lunch and dinner) plating all meals, cleaning down and kitchen tidy between meal times. Store all food correctly. Prepare the kitchen and equipment for service maintaining the standards set by the management team. Responsible for all food handled during preparation, cooking and service.
You will have your own chef whites, all other equipment is provided, you may bring your own knives if preferred.
Date required Friday march 8th, 730am to 630pm.
Must have a current food hygiene certificate and full right to work in UK with a current DBS. bring your own Chef whites , all other equipment supplied, can bring your own knives if preffered.
Management will give them an induction on arrival.
Chef will work with a kitchen assistant who will do all pot washing duties.
Need to prepare, cook and serve 3 meals per day for 22 residents, all ingredients supplied.
Daily menu provided and residents order from this.
Breakfast is cereals, cooked breakfast to order, tea/coffee Some residents will eat in dining room and others in bedroom ( trays to be taken to rooms and collected when finished)
Lunch example is Fish and chips, vegetarian pasta, 3 choices of puddings. Tea/coffee Served from Kitchen for staff to deliver.
Dinner example is Jacket potato with filling, Pizza, toasties, 3 choices of puddings. Tea/coffee. Served from Kitchen for staff to deliver.
After each service, clean down and collect trays etc
