Job description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Service and Small Works Manager based in South Yorkshire. You will be joining a Fire and Security Installer that have a fantastic company culture, family feel, and are growing at a steady pace where quality service is key to their clientele.
Must have experience managing a team of engineers and fire and security technical knowledge. You will have experience managing small works installations from £100-250k.
- Key Responsibilities
- Escalation point for the customer in relation to complaints and the resolution of disputes
- Carrying out timely reviews of engineers including field-based audits and completing associated paperwork and records
- Reviewing and updating of the engineers’ skills matrix including recommendations for training requirements which would benefit the business as well as the individual
- Reviewing the H&S matrix and ensuring engineers are equipped to carry out their role in a safe manner whilst meeting required industry standards
- Direct management of all engineers including advanced scheduling, whilst liaising with other departments where resources are shared
- Assisting with Service Contract reviews
- Department budgetary control with responsibility for achievement of minimum financial targets, departmental P&L and overall cost control in line with budgetary expectations.
- Attending Client sites/meetings and liaising with Sales for developing service opportunities
- Direct management of existing internal service staff personnel
- Responsibility for service technical escalations
- Assisting with technically vetting service and small works quotation
- Salary £45-50k basic
- Office based
- Normal working hours will be 08:30 to 17:00 Monday to Friday with one hour for lunch, however, a degree of flexibility will be required with this post, combined with a need to travel and stay overnight occasionally (if required)
- A car allowance or suitable hybrid Company car will be provided for business, details of which are yet to be agreed. The employee will fund any fuel for the vehicle and claim back business miles on a monthly basis via a mileage sheet.
- The role will be office based though flexible working is available by prior agreement with your direct line manager
- Holiday entitlement will be 24 days per annum pro rata plus 1 day for your birthday
