Communication and Digital Marketing Officer

£33K - £37k per annum

Colchester, Essex

We are pleased to be working with a dynamic and multi-disciplinary property and construction consultancy. They are currently looking for a Communication and Digital Marketing Officer to join their large, vibrant team. This is the perfect opportunity for a creative individual to take the next step up in their Communications and Marketing career.

The sole responsibility of this role is to raise the public profile of their brand, focussing on both PR, and social & digital channels.

Core responsibilities:

* Research and implement marketing and communications plans, and digital platforms across the company.
*Create and implement a PR and social media strategy, whilst continuous identifying opportunities to build brand awareness.
* Manage the companies' social media channels, creating engaging content, whilst researching and testing different PR strategies.
* Oversee the maintenance of their website and internal staff intranet, ensuring that the content is accurate and up to date.
* Set up, control, and evaluate return on investment of social media and paid ad campaigns.
* Work in a small team to create in house graphic design for brand channels, ensuring that all marketing materials produced are effective and in line with brand guidelines.
* Ensure that all work produced is accurate, and that all press releases and materials are fully edited, proofed, and signed off by the relevant persons.
* Film and edit video content for use across digital channels.
* Support with the creation of photography and podcasts for social channels and the website.
* Design and create templates and content for email campaigns, and then monitor the response rates.
* Support with the management of projects/campaigns and lead on own projects/campaigns. Including involvement in key client reviews and questionnaires.
* Oversee, develop, and maintain media relations including identifying opportunities for raising brand awareness.
* Assist with any internal communications.
* Be involved in organising and participating in company activities, as well as representing them at external events.

Personal Requirements:

* Full driving license and access to a vehicle.
* At least 2 years' experience within a communications role, which includes dealing with local and national press.
* At least 2 years' experience of producing web content and managing an organisation's social media presence.
* Experience of graphic design.
* A good communicator with the ability to adapt communication style to the audience.
* A flair for creative writing on a variety of topics with excellent content/copy writing skills.
* Experience of design software and of designing communications/marketing material (you will be asked to provide examples of documents or websites you have designed).
