Location: Guildford

Salary: £50,000 – £60,000

Hours: Monday – Friday

The position is predominantly office-based initially in the Head Office in Guildford, moving to more flexible hybrid-working after training.

A software and services company delivering competence management services within the UK and internationally.

The Head of Business Support role is integral to the success of all business units as a support function that underpins all business-critical activities that span the company.

This is a brand-new role that is being created to help cement the underpinning functions of the business whilst the company grows. They recognise the need to have a centralised resource that has an overarching responsibility for certain functions that are critical to the success of the company.

Duties:

Running the overall BMS (Business Management System).

Implementing and maintaining business critical accreditations such as ISO 27001 and 9001, including the role of Information Security Manager.

Coordination and facilitation of HR related activities including, but not limited to, new starter onboarding, job descriptions, exit interviews, payroll letters, employment contracts, etc.

Owning and maintaining business partnerships such as charities, environmental initiatives, accountant, etc.

Ensuring monthly payroll is executed correctly, timely and consistently on an ongoing basis.

Oversight and responsibility for paying any staff incurred expenses on a regular and ongoing basis.

Managing billing and invoicing of customers and third-party suppliers.

Supporting events management, working collaboratively to ensure any and all events are executed on time and to budget.

Accountability for keeping abreast of any legislative changes that could affect our business, our people, our BMS.

Owning our internal policies and standards, and recognising where new ones are required, writing, and implementing them where required.

Chairing and minuting the weekly management meeting, centrally driving and monitoring actions.

Creating a payroll framework that represents all of the diverse roles that we have within the business ensuring fairness and consistency across these on an ongoing basis.

Owning the project to centrally implement an annual leave system.

Owning the project to centrally implement a sickness leave system, and managing the associated process that naturally stems from that.

Person Specification:

Experience with business-critical accreditations (ISO 27001 and 9001).

Proactive, forward-thinking collaborator able to organise and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Extremely organised and diligent.

Excellent communication skills.

Resilient.

Desirable, but not essential:

Experience with payroll.

Experience with HR.
