Job description
Taylor Woodrow is recruitingfor a Quality Manager to join our team delivering the civils work on a new substation. Reporting to the Senior ProjectManager, the Quality Manager will be responsible for the implementation andmanagement of all quality systems across the project. Works include the delivery of roads,drainage, piling, concrete structures and earthworks
Duties:
· Understand andimplement both company and client quality management systems
· Prepare the QualityPlan to meet requirements of both quality systems, reviewing and revising asnecessary for each phase of the project
· Act as the primarypoint of contact for the client on quality issues
· Establish ProjectQuality Objectives and KPIs
· Establish a system ofQuality Control on the project and to manage that system at all levels. Thisincludes establishing handover structure from the outset of the project andmeasuring progress
· Prepare a list ofManagement System Documentation applicable to the project, and keep this up todate as the project progresses
· Advise on thepreparation of other project documents, such as Project EnvironmentalManagement Plan, Project Health & Safety Management Plan, Project CostPlan, Project Risk Management Plan, etc, and to ensure these documents areprepared by appropriate members of the project team for each phase of theproject, and reviewed and revised as necessary
· Carry out qualitysystem audits on all suppliers, including design consultants
· Develop projectquality training programme and ensure project personnel receive appropriatetraining
Person Specification:
· Previous experience ina quality management role on a major infrastructure project is essential
· In-depth knowledge ofBIM, the contextual requirement for BIM Level 2 and its connection to theGovernment Construction Strategy and Industrial Strategy 2025
· Membership of the CharteredQuality Institute or Institution of Civil Engineers is desirable
