Job description

Step Teachers are looking for an experienced General Science Teacher to teach children in key stages 3 and 4. The role will commence from January 8th until July 20th. This is a full-time role available Monday to Friday.

This is a "Good" Ofsted-rated school where Teachers share the same vision and have secure subject knowledge. They usually design interesting and challenging activities that ensure pupils make good progress across a range of subject areas.

As the ideal General Science Teacher for this role, you will:

• Possess strong knowledge of the General Science curriculum at the KS3 and KS4 levels
• Be able to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons
• Upkeep a clean, tidy, and considerate classroom environment
• Display a strong, mentoring personality toward students
• Cultivate positive relationships with students, working to inspire good behaviour and a passion for learning
• Cooperate with and support your colleagues and additional classroom staff
• Be able to accurately assess and report on your students, and articulate solutions to their difficulties
• Comply with and implement the school's policies, and take part in their supportive educational ethos

Requirements for this role:

• QTS is a must-have
• Recent mainstream school-based experience teaching English
• A relevant General Science degree is desirable
