Salary: £29,445 per annum pro rata (actual £17,667) / 21 hours per week

As a Young Carers Schools Link Worker, you will be part of a small, dedicated team at Richmond Carers Centre and take a lead on improving support for young carers in schools and at home.
You will be responsible for implementing the Young Carers in Schools accredited programme with a range of local primary and secondary schools to share good practice, provide relevant tools and training, and to celebrate the great outcomes that many schools achieve for young carers.
The programme’s aim is to improve the identification, recognition and understanding of the needs of young carers, raise the profile of young carers in schools, and ensure young carers needs are met. This will lead to the improvement of the health, education and wellbeing of vulnerable children and young people who are caring for others.
You’ll also be expected to work with the organisation’s volunteers and to use appropriate monitoring and evaluation reports to show funders what’s being achieved.
