About the Role:
The Technology Services arm is dedicated to delivering world-class support and services globally. Operating under Technology Services, the IT Service Management team oversees all IT services and infrastructure.
As a SAM Specialist, you will collaborate closely with the Software Asset Manager to implement effective business practices for managing IT assets and software licensing. This role encompasses inventory management, contractual oversight, financial management, and risk management to ensure holistic life-cycle management of assets, involving both tactical and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
As a SAM Specialist, you will:
- Assist in managing the firm's software portfolio and key third-party suppliers.
- Collaborate with internal teams/stakeholders such as Procurement, In-House Legal, Product Owners, and Senior Stakeholders.
- Contribute as a SAM expert in developing and implementing SAM strategy and processes.
- Enhance SAM strategy and governance to minimise risk and maximise efficiency.
- Act as a liaison between IT and third-party software suppliers, handling complex license discussions.
- Provide guidance on software licensing to optimise investments and minimise risks.
- Manage software vendor audits and ensure timely communication.
- Conduct internal software audits and generate Effective License Positions (ELPs) for renewals and negotiations.
- Analyse complex license models and assess their impact on the firm's strategy.
- Collaborate with Procurement and Legal teams to improve contractual positions.
- Interpret vendor license models to negotiate optimal deals.
- Maintain inventory data and ensure accuracy of deployment and entitlement data in the SAM tool.
- Analyse software usage data and communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Implement efficient licensing models for projects and educate Service Desk on SAM processes.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years' practical experience in software licensing or asset management.
- In-depth experience managing software licensing for Tier 1 vendors.
- Experience within the professional services sector.
- Proven experience conducting detailed data analysis and interpreting complex models.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM)
