Permanent Head Veterinary Nurse - Watford, Hertfordshire

We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in Watford for a Locum Head Veterinary Nurse to provide maternity leave cover for 6 to 12 months. This role is full time for 4 days per week, along with 1 in 6 weekends. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.
This role will involve all aspects of general nursing and you will be prepared to develop your skills by collaborating with the team. On top of daily duties the HVN will also lead the nursing team and help drive the practice forward. They will be expected to perform nursing duties with confidence and competence to provide the gold standard of care to the practice's loyal clients and patients. They will work closely alongside the Vets by assisting in surgical, consults and diagnostic procedures. The HVN will have excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. They will be motivated and ambitious to develop and lead the nursing team and will aid in their training and support. This requires either a clinical coach or a HVN who is looking to become a clinical coach. They will support the SVNs within the practice along with the patient care assistants.
With this role there is ongoing support available from management along with ongoing training and development opportunities. Management training is available.
