Health and Safety Business Partner – Maintenance
Covering the Northwest region - hybrid working from home or one of our regional hub offices in the Northwest
Permanent, Full time (37.5 hpw)
Salary circa: £44,000 pa, dependent on experience, with great benefits including a health cash plan

We are super passionate about developing and implementing the Health and Safety strategy, plan, and policies for Home Group so that there is a clear framework that drives compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
Typical day as a Health and Safety Business Partner
- As Health and Safety Business Partner, you will have responsibility for our in-house maintenance team within the Northwest
- Supporting our Maintenance Operational management teams (for example: developing suitable training programmes).
- Carry out appropriate health and safety checks of colleagues & contractors, high-quality in-house Health and Safety audits/inspections and create accurate monthly management reports from our performance data.
- Support, advise, and guide the contractor procurement process as well as build and effectively maintain relationships with the supply chain.
- Collaboration and engage with other colleagues within the Health and Safety team.

You have
- NEBOSH Occupational Health and Safety and/or NEBOSH construction management
- Grad IOSH as minimum, actively working towards CMIOSH, maintaining your CPD as per the IOSH Blueprint programme.
- Significant experience in a Maintenance/Construction H&S Management or equivalent role.
- Experience in compiling and reviewing detailed risk assessments and method statements (RAMS).
- Experience in supporting/advising with construction related health and safety, included guided training on various risks e.g., working at heights, CDM, asbestos, vibration, and dust etc.,
- Analyse accidents/incidents and investigations completing comprehensive investigation reports.
- Experience in writing and reviewing health, safety and fire policies and procedures.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- A full current driving licence for business use and commuting.

- Working week is Monday to Friday
- Responsibility for the health and safety of our in-house maintenance team within the Northwest, with occasional work required across the country too.
- You will have the flexibility of working either from home or in one of our local offices and we’ll give you the technology and kit to make that easy.
- You will have the chance to shape your own diary, however, will likely spend around 2-3 days or so per week on the road, and working from offices and home the rest of the time.
