Early Career Teachers - ECT's

Are you looking for your first role as a Newly Qualified ECT?

Can I do supply work as an ECT?

Yes - In fact we encourage it. Supply is a great way to start your journey into teaching. The Education Network can offer Early Careers Teachers the opportunity to develop teaching skills, gain experience and create resources as part of our well supported supply teaching team.

How does it work?

It's simple - Our job is to find the right school for you and there is plenty of scope. We work with a broad range of schools throughout the UK that can offer initial supply teaching experience or support with your induction. Including professional development, assignment inductions and on-going support and guidance.

Is supply teaching right for me?

Can I do induction as an ECT supply teacher?

Yes, ECTs can start or continue their induction whilst working on supply, so long as the period of employment is for a minimum contract length of one full induction term.

Part of our on-going commitment is to provide more opportunities for work through our many planned ECT events designed to help you start the process of finding the right school for you on a supply basis.
