ASA Recruitment are expanding their team of talented and experienced Chefs to become a crucial member of the Care Home network in Edinburgh. We believe in creating a warm and homely environment, where residents can enjoy nutritious and delicious meals tailored to their individual needs.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and cook well-balanced and nutritious meals for residents, considering dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure that special dietary requirements and individual preferences are met.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety in accordance with relevant regulations.
- Monitor and manage kitchen supplies, ensuring timely ordering and restocking of ingredients.
- Create menus that cater to a variety of tastes and accommodate special events or celebrations.
- Adapt recipes to meet the specific needs of residents, considering texture modification and dietary guidelines.
- Foster a positive and collaborative working environment within the kitchen.
Job Requirements
- Valid Right To Work in the UK
- UK experience as a Chef, preferably in a care home or similar setting.
- Understanding of food safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organised kitchen.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially when working with residents and other staff members
- PVG for Adults – Update required through ASA
