Job description
I am pleased to be working exclusively with a leading business in the appointment of an HR Manager. This is a newly created role reporting to the Head of HR taking responsibility of the day to day operational aspects of HR.
Responsibilities include:
- Work in partnership with the leadership team, Head of HR and HR colleagues to shape, develop and deliver all operational services in line with the needs and priorities of the organisation.
- Operate as an HR expert, to advise, guide and support colleagues and managers by providing high level people management and development
- Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of the HR service to colleagues and managers. Support the Head of HR in managing the daily workload and prioritisation of tasks across the team.
- Manage the administration and compliance of the HR policies, procedures and programmes.
- Be the champion for development of HR processes and systems. Develop systems to support efficiency improvement in HR processes.
- Work with the Payroll Advisor to ensure monthly HR Payroll Report is prepared detailing starters, current and next month leavers, contractual or temporary changes, maternity and paternity leave
- Work with the team on employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives.
Requirements for the role:
- CIPD level 5 qualification
- Excellent knowledge of UK Employment Law and of working across a full HR generalist remit
- Experience of overseeing payroll
- Outstanding communication skills and the ability to coach an influence
This is a full time, permanent position which will be office based for the first 6 months and then will be a blended approach of office and home working.
