Your new role
As Financial Business Partner for a key UK division you will business partner with the Division Manager and wider Management Team to provide sound advice and guidance to the business on all operating finance matters. You will be responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of all projects, ensuring sound project accounting principles are applied. You will work collaboratively with the UK Finance Team, who will be responsible for delivering the other financial requirements for the business (taxes, financing, compliance for the legal entity).
Contribute to the development of financial strategies aligned with business goals
Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and financial implications
Identify opportunities for organisational process improvements
Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in financial processes
Control project financials from the first stages (estimation, quoting) to ensure margins and contingencies are adequate and coherent with the risks + review the billing schedule
Monitor adherence of projects to the financial plan
Alert on deviations and risks revealed by the project financial KPIs
Participate in monthly project reviews with project teams: update costs to complete, revenue at completion and update revenue recognition accordingly
Monitor projects work in progress and billing
What you\'ll need to succeed Currently applications will only be considered from candidates who can demonstrate a background in construction. Within this you need to have experience of project accounting.
What you\'ll get in return This role will pay £50-60,000 depending on experience and level of qualification
This organisation is based outside Chelmsford and you will need to be able to drive/have a car to reach them. They are currently office based 5 days a week.
