Job description
Based in Whitstable TPF Recruitment is working on behalf of a great local firm of Chartered Accountants who are looking for an Accounts Assistant/ Semi Senior Accountant to join their team in a general practice position across accounts tax bookkeeping and VAT. Our client is a multisited firm of chartered accountants and they have been established in the Kent market for many years. Theyre looking for an Accounts Assistant/ Semi Senior or somebody who is studying the AAT or ACCA to join them in a progressive and rewarding career. Given the nature of the business there are great internal progression prospects on offer too.
You will be responsible for:
- Preparation of statutory accounts to review stage
- Assisting with management accounts production
- Personal taxation corporate taxation and VAT returns
- General bookkeeping duties using Sage Xero or QuickBooks
- Coaching and mentoring junior staff members and trainees
Requirements
- You will have 15 years experience within an accountancy practice.
- You will be studying AAT / ACCA or be qualified by experience.
- You will have handson experience in accounts tax and VAT preparation.

You will have 1-5 years experience within an accountancy practice. You will be studying AAT / ACCA or be qualified by experience. You will have hands-on experience in accounts, tax and VAT preparation.
