Job description

Alexander James Recruiting is currently working with a leading supplier of various racking and storage solutions looking to recruit a new Area Sales Manager to cover and develop their client base in postcodes across the West Midlands. With excellent, uncapped commission opportunities and scope for growth, this is a great opportunity for an experienced racking sales professional or an individual from a related sector looking for a new & exciting opportunity with excellent earning potential.

Responsibilities

· Managing an existing client base across the West Midlands

· Business development across the same area selling pallet racking

· Generate new business by visiting customers on site, conducting site surveys and providing customer quotes for racking and other equipment

· Read and work with CAD warehouse designs

· Providing a consultative sales approach in order to win new business in the sales of racking and storage solutions

· Take responsibility for region revenue stream and overall growth

Requirements

Racking experience is by no means essential for the role though highly preferable but the company are looking for candidates who have come from a capital equipment/technical sales background who can also demonstrate a strong sales track record. Experience from similar sectors such as material handling would be advantageous. You will be proactive in your approach to selling and will ideally have experience of conducting site surveys and providing detailed quotations. Knowledge of CAD would be advantageous but not essential. Crucially, the successful candidate will have a solutions focuses approach with the ability to understand design work. The company would also consider Project Management/Contract Management professionals seeking a move into sales if they’re able to show the aptitude.

Having been established for over 60 years, their range of products includes pallet racking, shelving, lockers and tray storage systems and are continuing to grow with at a rapid pace. Due to recent changes, they’re now looking for a new Area Sales Manager to sell their range of products across the West Midlands.
