Position: Technical Director - Project Manager

The Client:
My client are leader within the energy industry and currently are branching out in low-carbon solutions, renewable hydrogen production and mobility for industrial players. This is an early hire to be part of the UK team into what will be an a very established team in the years to come. You will be apart of a fantastic team of specialists, leading and taking ownership of Hydrogen projects from inception to delivery.
Purpose Of Role:
Through organic growth, acquisitions and partnerships we are now looking for a Technical Director who will help with structuring and developing hydrogen projects in the UK.
As the Technical Director, you will have an instrumental role in ensuring that the technical project development and execution of hydrogen projects in the UK is optimized by fully leveraging the experience and learnings of several similar hydrogen projects successfully managed in France and applying it to the UK standards.
You will be the guarantor for the technical quality of business activities in UK, starting in the business development phase (e.g. validating the offers and the projects from a technical standpoint) to construction (e.g. making sure projects are executed safely, on time and on budget) and operations (e.g. making sure our assets operate safely, with right levels of reliability and availability). You will be responsible for technical / technological solutions, assessing the related risks and devising corresponding strategies and risks mitigation. You will be managing a team of specialists, as well as setting up and overseeing a network of partners.
Skills and Experience:
Contract day rate : Negotiable (depending on experience)
Contract Duration: 3 months with view to extend for 12 months (after 12 months there will be an opportunity to move into a permanent role within the senior team)
