Are you an experienced finance officer/bookkeeper seeking a part-time role?
The People Hiveis currently seeking a Finance Leader to join their team.
The local charity is all about creating real opportunities and empowering individuals with learning disabilities within our community. They are a small team of 10 employees (3.5 full time equivalent) with a turnover of £280,000.
As Finance Officer, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the effective management of their finance function and maintaining the integrity of their financial data.
Your responsibilities will include ensuring accurate processing of transactions, managing petty cash, and conducting bank reconciliations.
You’ll prepare monthly management reports, oversee payroll administration, and maintain staff salary data.
Additionally, you’ll manage utilities, office administration, and assist in the annual budgeting process.
As Company Secretary, you’ll handle filings with the Charity Commission and Companies House, and there are annual tasks involving liaison with HMRC and accountants for tax filings, overseeing the audit process, and maintaining records of restricted funding.
