Product Development Coordinator

Job description
AWWG is the global fashion group that integrates the brands Pepe Jeans London, Hackett, and Façonnable, and is the licensed distributor for Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein in Spain and Portugal.
The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring a timely, accurate and organised process of the product development from design handover to production for the specific product category.
The Role will entail:
- Closely collaborate with designers and stakeholders to conceptualize and refine the proposed product ideas, liaising with design teams to execute their creative vision while considering
- practicality, cost-efficiency, and material suitability for the product category.
- Translating design concepts into detailed technical specifications. This involves working with patternmakers and technicians to develop accurate sizing, fabric requirements, stitching details, and construction methods.
- Fluent relations with suppliers to identify appropriate yarns, dyes, and additives that meet quality standards and align with design requirements, also evaluating the performance, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness of different materials to make informed decisions.
- Oversee the creation of prototypes and samples, along the manufacturing teams to ensure proper execution of design elements.
- Periodically communication with production teams to ensure smooth manufacturing processes, communicate technical specifications, provide guidance on fabric handling, and coordinate production timelines.
Requirements:
- University level.
- Production Management and Textiles
- Experience as product developer, at least 3 years'
- Very good organizational skills, handling capacity and adaptability
- English level HIGH: spoken & written
- Excel, PLM knowledge
- Collaborative working style and good communication skills
- Understanding of garment construction
- Understanding of fabrics and production process
