Mechanical Contracts Manager – East Anglia - £50k pa + executive benefits.
A Mechanical Contracts Manager is required by our client. The successful applicant will be joining a fast-growing M&E company based in Norwich covering works across Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridge and North Essex. Our client has secured contracts for 250+ residential units over the next 12 months with additional units already in the pipeline for the next 3 years.
The Ideal Candidate:
• We are looking for an individual who has a passion for Contracts Management and delivering upon programmes.
• The focus is on delivering a quality product so we only employ our team with those that share the same ethos. The job holder is initially based at Head Office and is responsible reporting to General Manager to ensure that all installation work carried out by the company reaches the highest standards of quality, cost and safety.
• You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the projects from start up to delivery including but not limited to, managing engineers and sub-contractors on site, liaising with client site manager and contracts managers, keeping to budget, value engineering, staying on top of variations and delivering the projects on time to a high standard.
Requirements:
● You will have 3 years minimum experience of being a Mechanical Contracts Manager in the residential or commercial sectors.
● You must be able to manager multiple projects at the same time.
● Excellent leadership and communication skills.
● Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and industry best practices.
● Ability to manage budgets and control costs.
● Full UK driving license. Duties and Responsibilities:
● Generate lists of materials / parts, sub-contract services, hire equipment that are required for quotation purposes providing them to the procurement department to obtain cost effective prices and timely delivery dates.
● Produce written tenders based on agreed scope of works with clients, incorporating labour material and hire costs.
● Co-ordinate mechanical / electrical interface together with sub-contract suppliers.
● Monitor project budgets and control costs effectively.
