Responsibilities:
The person will be responsible for variety of tasks including:
Ensure compliance with Flowserve policies, US GAAP, SOX and local statutory laws and regulations and that business is conducted within Flowserve ethical Code of Business Conduct.
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the financial reporting under US GAAP monthly and UK GAAP for local statutory accounting, independently manage the month close process for Financials, will be responsible for the data integrity in SAP and BPC (reporting tool).
Work with regional SOX lead to ensure compliance.
AR and AP management including liaising with Shared Service Centre on resolving issues.
Perform/review monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
Analyze and explain variances and trends against actuals, forecast, budget and prior periods.
Provide input when required for business planning and forecasting process, working in partnership with the site Finance Business Partner.
Work with the external auditors to make sure that all data and requirements are made available for audit and support the preparation of the group statutory accounts.
Coordinate activities with internal and external auditors, and other external constituents (tax, regulatory, etc).

Requirements:
At least 3 years relevant working experience.
Previous experience working financial reporting/management accounting.
Qualified Accountant or Finalist (ACMA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
Experience with corporate accounting & reporting systems, preferably SAP or other ERP systems
Proficient computer skills and excellent MS Office user. Intermediate to advanced Excel skills are a must.
Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
Attention to detail and excellent analytical skills are key for this role.
Flexibility with occasional overtime and public holiday work.
Fluent in English, written and oral.
Team player and strong communication skills.
