The successful Electrical Workshop Foreman will:
- Relay information between the working party within the workshop and the engineering department
- Ability to communicate across multiple business departments.
- Become a valuable member of the time planning team for projects.
- Work to programs and be able to keep the working party to the programs.
- Develop good working practices in workshop and site.
- Oversee correct workmanship and develop apprentice’s skills.
- Oversee general day to day duties within the workshop Stores area.
- Assist in aspects of workshop activities conducive to maintaining an acceptable workshop environment.
- Adhere to a quality system and be able to constructively add to the processes within the workshop.
- Manage Installation of all project equipment on site and GRP substations within the workshop
- Management of Installation of electrical containment
- Able to read drawings and follow them.
- Be able to deal with customers on site.
- Work independently within the workshop
- Management of daily team meetings in line with company KPIs
- Ability to manage and monitor project allocation and progression on a daily, and weekly, basis.
- Manage and oversee individual work performance in line with company requirements.
Education and employment background
- Relevant electrical qualification e.g., level 3 qualified in a relevant field
- BTec or City and Guilds electrical qualification or recognised apprenticeship/training body
- Must be able to read and interpret electrical diagrams and technical schematics.
- General IT skills e.g., excel, word, outlook.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Team leader experience (electrical industry desirable)
- SAP (desirable)
Working hours:
- Monday-Thursday: 8am-5pm
- Friday 8am-1pm (Early finish Friday)
