WHAT TO EXPECT

Do you have experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP), and prior knowledge or experience of SAP?

As the Imports Outbound Operations Supervisor, you’ll be the daily point of contact for the JLR plants. You’ll ensure all plant deliverables are managed and parts are shipped to JLR plant or Deconsolidation Centres on time, in full and within targets. 

You’ll also be responsible for supporting the contract management of service providers, managing relationships within a customer-facing role.

The function oversees the Imports Processing Centre operation and is critical to facilitating a seamless handoff of customer demand through the end-to-end process as enabler to an efficient outbound process through accurate control and data alignment.

The ideal candidate would have knowledge of inbound, outbound, customer and central TD processes as there is a large degree of interaction with all teams in both daily operations as well as in order to support new process/IT implementations.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a hybrid role with a variety of teams within JLR creating maximum exposure across the business.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

• Work on operational tasks at Imports to ensure timely and successful resolution of all supply chain delivery issues 
• Support JLR plants on new model launch plans and production strategies 
• Apply lean tools and techniques as part of an integrated approach for development and improvement of Import Operations
• Work on improvement projects applying lean methodology to deliver sustainable transformation within  Import Operations
• Work with internal and external customers, stakeholders and the supplier base to ensure Vehicle / Engine Programmes objectives are delivered resulting to overall improvement of logistics flow 
• Provide support and project management for the LLP development by promoting performance improvement 
• Monitor and track resolution to all logistics problems and issue to ensure improvements are achieved 
• Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

As the Imports Outbound Operations Supervisor, you’ll need the following knowledge, skills and experience:

• Very strong analytical skills and number/financial affinity
• Has an in depth knowledge of customer demand rules and expectations
• Has an in-depth knowledge of outbound and shipping processes
• Background in Supply Chain with experience in Supply Chain Development 
• Experience in issue resolutions and application of lean methodology in Supply Chain 
• Experience of process improvements in Logistics Flow 
• Degree or relevant equivalent experience preferred
• Microsoft package elements Power Point & Excel
