Job description
Overview
Pragmatic is seeking an experienced Thin Film Transistor Engineer, in technologies such as amorphous oxides, amorphous Si, LTPS etc, to join its expanding R&D team. The Principal Thin Film Transistor Engineer will be responsible for leading technology development projects, working closely with external development partners as well as Pragmatic’s design, test, process engineering and integration groups.
Key tasks
- Shape and lead next generation device and technology development projects
- Day to day management of critical path technology development projects as well as Pragmatic's long-term R&D roadmap working closely with external and internal stakeholders
- Dissemination of relevant summaries, reports, data sets and documentation to key stakeholders
Qualifications and training
The successful candidate will ideally possess:
- Degree or post-graduate in Microelectronics, MEMS, Physics, materials science or another relevant discipline; or equivalent experience
- Experience in semiconductor microfabrication
- Project management experience
Skills and experience
- In depth knowledge of thin film and semiconductor physics, technologies, characterisation techniques and reliability considerations with focus on Thin Film Transistors (TFTs), display driver technologies, AMOs, a-Si, LTPS etc
- Strong background in microfabrication and metrology techniques including photolithography, dry and wet etching, PVD, CVD, ALD, SEM, AFM, ellipsometry etc
- Experience in DC and AC electrical tests and associated data analysis statistical methods and tools (advantage)
- Experience in leading development projects interacting with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and progress multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication skills, interpersonal within team and external facing
- Ability to work independently and part of a team
