About the company
Our client is a Managed Service Provider who provide support to their clients in the educational sector.
Position overview
As the Network Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the managed service operations at a school site. Taking ownership of projects and troubleshooting technical issues.
Responsibilities
- Ensure consistent delivery of ICT support services onsite at school
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and maintenance for specialist equipment
- Mentor and train junior staff on working practices and procedures
- Advise senior staff on ICT growth and potential issues
- Communicate technical information effectively to various audiences
- Monitor stock levels and advise on purchasing requirements
- Analyse support logs and produce management reports for service development
- Perform advanced diagnosis procedures on hardware, peripherals, and applications
- Lead liaison efforts for projects during school holidays, ensuring equipment accuracy and project success and changes as instructed by manager.
Candidate requirements
- Two or more years’ experience managing Enterprise level Network infrastructures/a Service Desk.
- Ideally experience with Virtualisation (VMWARE or Hyper-V preferred).
- Cloud Services experience (Desirable, not essential).
- Professional qualifications such as a degree or master’s in computing, or Microsoft certifications like MCSA and MCSE, or equivalent experience.
- Additional IT-specific certifications like Aruba, Cisco, HP, or other enterprise-level software/hardware certifications are also beneficial.
