Electronics & Embedded Software Development Manager

A high tech, medical device start-up in the Bristol area is currently looking for an Electronics & Embedded Software Development Manager to join their team.

Having successfully just gone through a major round of funding, they are looking for an ambitious manager to join their small design team. They’ve just received regulatory approval on their first product and will be developing their next generation of products over the next few years. Their tech is novel and patented and will have a huge positive impact on people’s lives.

The Development Manager will provide organisational and technical leadership on the design and development of products and projects, from initial concept through to market (including regulatory approvals). You will be managing a highly skilled, small but growing team of electronics and embedded software engineers, and you will report directly to board level.

Experience:

Either a Senior Electronics/Embedded Engineer looking to step into a managerial role (with existing supervisory/managerial experience) or a seasoned Electronics/Embedded Manager looking for their next challenge

Experience within a highly regulated industry - medical device experience would be hugely advantageous

Experience developing multi-disciplinary systems that involve electronics, embedded software, and mechanical components

Knowledge of quality and regulatory requirements (i.e. FDA, 13485 etc.)

Degree educated in a relevant discipline (i.e. electronics)
