Job description

KidsAid is a charity supporting children affected by trauma. We seek a Standards & Compliance Lead to assist the board in establishing, and monitoring compliance with ethical, professional, and clinical standards.

What will you be doing?

KidsAid is a child-centred charity. We focus on healing and empowerment for children affected by abuse, family breakdown, illness, and bereavement through to anxiety, depression, self-harm, and suicide.

Our Values

Our Objectives and Activities

We are proud to deliver long-term, evidence-based therapies alongside innovative interventions at an affordable cost to families who do not have access to other services or have the financial means to fund therapy themselves.

We take a three-pronged approach to our work with children that includes therapeutic support for the individual child, support for parents or care givers and support for professionals working with children.

The Challenges Ahead

KidsAid considers itself an advocate for good practice in early years development, mental health provision and family support.

Since our small beginnings 16 years ago, KidsAid has built a reputation for providing positive and lasting outcomes for the children we support. We work closely with Northamptonshire Children's Trust, other local charitable organisations and over 75 schools each year.

In 2022-23 KidsAid provided therapeutic provision for 329 individuals and delivered 4074 hours of therapy. Last year our service grew by 75% and our support extended beyond Northamptonshire to include referrals from neighbouring counties.

Such rapid growth in service provision has afforded greater financial stability. Investment is needed however, to increase staff support, board skills, systems, communications and procedures to take us forward and help us meet current and future challenges.
