Job description


Walsall Healthcare NHS Trustprovides integrated acute and community Healthcare in the West Midlands serving a population of 260,000 residents. Walsall Manor Hospital houses the full range of district general hospital services. The £170 million development was completed in 2010 and we are continually upgrading. Construction of the new integrated critical care unit was completed in 2018, extension of a Neonatal Unit and an approved plan to build a brand new, state of the art Emergency Department which will commence in 2021

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Decontamination Technician to join the team at Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust. The positions are full and part-time, the shift pattern for both are 12.00 to 20.00

Cleaning and decontamination of Surgical Instrumentation and associated equipment used for several specialties. Monitoring and validation of equipment used in the decontamination process. Will involve handling bodily fluids and requires the wearing of personal protective equipment.

The department operates 7 days working including weekends and you will be expected to participate in this rota.
