Job description
The Project Cost controller will be a key appointment to support both the finance and operations departments, helping to ensure that projects stay within budget, meet commercial objectives, and are delivered on time.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing revenue recognition fora diverse project portfolio
- Preparation of project reports including weekly Flash and monthly / quarterly management accounts
- Preparation of financial plans, annual budgets, quarterly (re-)forecasts, project revenue reporting, Cost of Sales etc
- Variance analysis and associated commentary
- Project margin / customer profitability analysis
- Accrued and deferred revenue calculation
- Project labour time sheets
- Schedule progress reports. schedule analysis and trends
- Monitoring and analysing KPI and performance data
- Reviewing project deadlines and budgets
- Alignment of the cost and schedule data
- Creation of project budgets from design to completion
- Daily / Weekly cost reporting as required.
- Review and approval of budget revision requests
- Cash flow management on projects
