Job Title: Manufacturing Operative – Pharmaceuticals
Location: Burton-on-Trent
Pay rate: £11.71 per hour (39 hour week) (Pay increase on grade system with training)
My client is operating on a 13-week temporary-to-permanent model.
My client is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Manufacturing Operative to join their team in the Production Departments of Dispensary, Granulation & Blending, and Compression. The successful candidate will play a key role in processing materials according to Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR), departmental SOPs, and production schedules.
The role:
• Follow instructions outlined in the BMR, operating in adherence to company SOPs and HACCP plans to manufacture intermediate and finished products within agreed schedules.
• Adhere to the highest Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and food hygiene rules at all times.
• Record tasks and events on batch manufacturing documentation accurately and timely in accordance with GMP.
• Perform all duties in a safe manner, complying with the company's Health & Safety policy consistently.
• Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as per company SOPs and individual BMRs.
• Follow supervision/management instructions, carrying out additional duties as required to ensure the smooth running of the operations department.
• Observe personal hygiene rules detailed in the Company’s Code of Conduct.
• Maintain absolute confidentiality regarding Company processes and information.
• Monitor the production process, conducting basic testing and quality checks.
• Assist with Research & Development in the introduction of new and modified products into full-scale production.
• Conduct other tasks, primarily of a Production or Technical support nature, as directed by Senior Management.
• Report any problems/mistakes immediately to supervision.
• Ensure the Production area's cleanliness and tidiness meets the required standards under GMP.
The candidate:
• 3+ years of experience in a GMP pharmaceutical manufacturing facility (not essential)
• Equipment set-up, maintenance, and validation experience.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Enthusiastic and passionate about pharmaceutical manufacture.
• High attention to detail.
• Excellent numerical skills.
