At a glance: Pay: £21,100 - £27,000 Hours: 37.5 per week - Flexibility matters - Our chefs work flexible hours and patterns to suit their needs. Feel free to talk about this to the hiring manager to understand our flexible working policy and what that means for you What will you do: Prepare, cook and present meals to the highest standard in fast-paced environments Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe kitchen environment Avoiding food wastage through portion control, preparation and storage methods Controlling and monitoring stock Operating and cleaning cooking equipment Putting together menus Training and upskilling other Partners in the Catering team Job Requirements: Apply the John Lewis food safety policies and procedures which include all legislation applicable to the Catering operation Ability to oversee the opening, closing and daily running of the operation Prepare, serve and present food to a high standard Required essential experience skills and qualifications: NVQ level 2 Experience of working within a customer service based environment Experience of working within a catering environment You will have the opportunity to train in: Food Safety level 1 Health and Safety Level 1 .
