Location: Hertfordshire
Salary: £25,000-£35,000 (dependant on experience)

Their core competencies lie in expertly installing and applying hygienic and aseptic coatings, along with providing high-quality hygienic wall claddings.
Role Purpose: As the Business Development Manager, you will serve as the linchpin of the Sales team, managing incoming leads from initial contact to job delivery. Your primary focus will be on driving growth through meticulous attention to detail, fostering strong customer relationships, and supporting the company’s promises of safety, timeliness, quality, and budget adherence.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Enquiries:
- Evaluate and gather information from incoming leads, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Enter valid opportunities into the system for further processing.
- Assist with estimating and quoting, taking responsibility for pricing variations and additional work.
Sales Follow-ups:
- Take ownership of the follow-up process, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
- Record all interactions in the sales system.
Sales Reporting:
- Produce monthly sales reports and KPIs to track company performance.
Customer Relationships:
- Serve as the first point of contact for incoming enquiries, promptly directing them internally.
- Monitor and action incoming emails within 24 hours.
Quality Documentation:
- Ensure timely production and delivery of all required documents to clients.
- Maintain accurate project data and records.
Job Delivery:
- Provide administrative support to ensure top-tier customer service and repeat business.
- Coordinate site operatives, ensuring timely arrivals and necessary documentation.
- Arrange accommodation for operatives as required.
Materials Management:
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing.
- Verify invoices for accuracy before payment.
Constant Improvement:
- Proactively research and suggest improvements within the company.
Essential Attributes:
- Background in construction, quantity surveying, or logistics.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to coordinate between sales and operations teams.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
- Comfortable with technology.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask effectively and maintain a clear to-do list.
- Knowledge of hygienic cladding, coatings, or general construction preferred.
- Prior sales experience advantageous; however, training will be provided to the right candidate.
