CDM Health & Safety Coordinator with previous experience in a CDM Advisor or Principal Designer role with a NEBOSH Construction certification is required for a well-established company based in Dudley, West Midlands.
SALARY: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum + Benefits LOCATION: Dudley, West Midlands JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent JOB OVERVIEW An exciting opportunity for an experienced CDM Health & Safety Coordinator has arisen to work for the company's well-established and friendly Sales & Project Delivery team. Although this is a standalone role, this is your chance to join a successful company and work under your own initiative whilst being supported by their close-knit team as you continue to grow and develop. Working as the CDM Health & Safety Coordinator you will use your full grasp of CDM regulations and processes and your first-hand experience of dealing with CDM regulations in shaping the H&S strategy. You will also play a pivotal role in maintaining and developing assigned projects covering all internal and external aspects of H&S. As the CDM Health & Safety Coordinator you will be assigned to several clients and projects, and responsible for providing the support and assistance needed to manage and ensure operational duties are carried out to CDM regulations. You will play a pivotal role in developing, managing, and implementing the co-ordination and provision of CDM 2015 for the business. Your contributions will be central to maintaining a CDM project database, and electronically filing all CDM project documents in accordance with office procedures. With a focus on the company’s entire range of company products and services, you will be responsible for undertaking the Principal Designer duties in compliance with the CDM 2015 regulations on all construction related projects and will advise and assist the internal teams on all CDM matters related to design, construction processes and maintenance related matters. DUTIES Your duties as the CDM Health & Safety Coordinator include: • Provide a CDM / H&S service to clients and ensure the company are fully compliant with 2015 CDM Regulations • Implement & manage the design risk register • Ensure that RAMS are in place on projects and updated on a regular basis • Collate pre-construction information packs (PCI) and ensure construction phase plans (CPP) are in place • Manage the H&S file, including collating and monitoring. Ensuring the files are sent to sites and received back completed and stored accordingly • Development of new and existing procedures, policies and practices • Review and advise on Contractor Risk Assessments and Method statements and monitoring subcontractors • Assist in the monitor and review of protective and preventative H&S measures to minimise risk • Carry out on-site inspections and create of site risk assessments, Safe systems of work, method statements and operating procedures when required • Performing incident and accident investigations and to instruct, document and monitor any recommended remedial actions • Measure project H&S performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques • Report and escalate issues and concerns to management as needed • Manage the associated requirements for all required accreditations CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (desirable but not essential)• NEBOSH Construction (essential)• Professional membership to IOSH, APS, or RIBA (desirable)• Excellent knowledge and hands on experience of 2015 CDM Regulations • Previous experience in a CDM Advisor or Principal Designer role • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and verbal)• Proficient in Microsoft IT • Able to read and understand construction/retail plans • Ability to work autonomously, under own initiative with excellent time management skills • Able to make quick but rational decisions when working under pressure BENEFITS • 25 Days Annual Leave • Incremental Continuous Service Annual Leave • Group life Assurance (after a qualifying period)• Access to an Employee Assistance Programme (mental health, professional financial advice)• Great scope for progression and continued learning/development • 8% Employer Contribution Pension Scheme • Participation in their tax-free Partnership Dividend Scheme • Real living wage employer • Enhanced Illness, Maternity, Paternity, and Bereavement leave • Referral Incentives • Partner Voice Groups The company is an equal opportunity employer that celebrates diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all their Partners.
